SOS, criminal record, job vacancy: Tell Dubai Police what you want

Dubai Police, using its twitter handle @DubaiPoliceHQ, has launched a survey to improve its social media communication system.

The survey asks social network users to suggest improvements that will help Police serve the community better.

“Our goal is to ‘communicate with transparency’ to raise the level of services that we provide to you,” the survey says.

Among the questions asked is what information do you look for from Dubai Police, via the social networks in the criminal, traffic and social areas?

The options available in the above three areas range from criminal record report; we are all police; fighting the crime (giving information, reporting a crime); traffic information; enquiring about violations; courses of black point deduction; the Dubai Police leaders, at your service; job vacancies; enquiry about lost and found, or your safety with a touch of button (SOS).

Social network users are also asked what is their preferred network: Twitter, Facebook, YouTube or Instagram.

Dubai government had unveiled the smart initiative in March last year and since then government departments are gearing up to offer all their services online.
