Speeding 15-year-old in car crash
Three Arab teenage boys were killed and three others, including a child, were seriously injured after their car rammed into a palm tree in Khorfakkan due to excessive speed by a 15-year-old driver who has no licence, newspapers reported on Friday.
They quoted police as saying the driver lost control of the vehicle because of high speed on the Corniche Road in the eastern port, causing the car to crash into a large palm tree before overturning many times.
The driver and two other boys were killed in the crash while three other boys, including the child, were seriously injured and rushed to hospital.
“The accident was caused by excessive speed…we found that the car driver was 15 years old and had no driving licence,” a police source said.
