A speeding driver lost control of his car and drowned in Sharjah Creek opposite Khaled Lagoon on Saturday night.
According to a report on 'Al Ittihad', the 23-year-old Bagladeshi was driving at a high speed when he lost control of his car that plunged into the creek.
Police and ambulance arrived immediately but could not rescue the driver.
The area was cordoned off for the rescue operation. The car was hauled out of the waters and the body has been transferred to the forensic lab.
