Student accused of assaulting bus driver

Fujairah Police arrested a secondary class student on charges of assaulting the expatriate driver of his school bus, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.

The boy denied the charges but witnesses confirmed the accusations made by the driver, in his 50s, ‘Al Khaleej’ said.

The paper did not name the student but said he would stand trial on charges of assaulting and beating another person.

Fujairah Police arrested an Asian worker and his friend on charges of stealing 34 air condition machines from his own company in the eastern emirate.

The company owner reported his worker to the police after he and his friend were seen by colleagues near the company’s store at night.

The worker later confessed to having made a copy of the store key and burgling the store with his friend’s help.
