Student sleeping in car found with drug
A 19-year-old Pakistani student who was found sleeping in his car in front of the Ministry of Labour in Al Ghusais area at 5.15am was allegedly under the influence of the drug tramadol, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
AMH was also accused by the prosecution of possessing 537 tablets of tramadol.
Policeman Mohammed Hassan testified that while patrolling Al Ghusais area on August 24, he saw a man sleeping in a car. “We woke him and found he was in an abnormal condition. Then he pulled ten tablets of tramadol from his pocket, so we took him to the police headquarters,” he testified.
Seargent Sayed Adnan repeated the same testimony and said the accused was unable to talk or to stand up.
On searching the accused’s car, 537 tablets of tramadol were found and confiscated. He confessed to receiving them from a Pakistani man. He also admitted to taking tramadol, policeman Ahmad Ali testified.
