Ras Al Khaimah police have arrested a school boy for stabbing his class mate following a rift over a notebook, just a month after the emirate launched an awareness drive against school violence, local newspaper reported Wednesday.
The unidentified student stabbed his colleague three times in different parts of his body, causing medium injuries to him, the papers said, quoting police.
“We have arrested the boy, who confessed to stabbing his class mate after he tried to take his note book,” said Lt Colonel Salim Rabei, director of the City Police in the emirate. “This incident followed our educational campaign in October aimed at improving the students’ behavior and curbing violence.”
