Summer events for disabled students

Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services on Sunday opened a summer entertainment centre for a group of 65 differently-abled students to help enable them enjoy the vacation season.

Some 23 supervisors and five student and graduate volunteers will accompany the group aged between 4 and 18 throughout the month-long activities promising them a unique summer experience.

Officer of the summer centre, Maryam Al Faresi, said the annual event is aimed at integrating the disabled with their able-bodied peers.
