Summer: UAE temperature hits 43.5°C

The summer may be well and truly here. The National Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) recorded a top temperature of 43.5°C in Al Fujairah Airport at 4pm today, tweeting, “The highest temperature recorded over the country today was 43.5°C in Al Fujairah Airport 04:00 PM.”

“The days will get hotter, but the evenings will still be pleasant,” an official at the National Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) told Emirates24|7.

He informed that the temperature will rise by 2-3 degrees.

“There will be fresh north westerly winds that will be strong at times. It will lead to blowing dust, and could impact visibility in Western areas.

“This will start late on Friday night, and continue till Saturday morning.” This could mostly impact islands and western coast.

He added that the Arabian Sea will remain “light to moderate”, but will turn “rough” on Friday night, until Saturday morning.

The Oman Sea will remain “light to moderate”.

“There is chance of fog formation in certain areas.”

The official, however, ruled out any possibility of rain.

“The relative humidity will increase during the night, and early morning over some coastal areas,” read their forecast.
