A 44-year old Swiss visitor cried and collapsed in court, repeatedly saying: "I want to see my children… I have not seen them for three months," when the presiding judge of the Misdemeanour Court announced that her case was adjourned until September 1 because another accused in the case, an Emirati, 31, failed to appear.
ZBS and three other accused - her Arab woman partner WA, 39; an Arab woman investor KA; and the Emirati man - are accused of physically assaulting SBM and injuring him.
The women were also accused of taking alcohol.
ZBS said her passport was with the court and that she could not go home. She denied being involved in the case and said: "I was just a witness and then became an accused.”
She pleaded with the judge to award the verdict so that she could go back home to her children. "My friend was the one who was taking alcohol. I did not.”
