Teenager molests sleeping girlfriend

An Emirati youth faces charges of molesting his 13-year-old girlfriend while she slept in his bedroom.

The case that came up at the Dubai Court of First Instance charges 19-year old AM with kissing and hugging the girl, reported The National.

The boy confessed before the court that he did hug the girl with whom he was in a relationship for the last two years.

He was also charged with trespassing, damaging property and assaulting a friend.

As per the case sheet, the girl’s mother called one of her friends to check her whereabouts on July 2. On realising her daughter was with AM, who was not available on phone, she lodged a complaint with the police.

The girl had told prosecutors that she met AM and then visited a friend’s house. The two boys then got into an argument that led to AM punching his friend.

The girl then went to AM’s house, sneaked into his room and fell asleep. She returned to her house the next day.

The court will issue its verdict on December 23.
