The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will open on Friday, September 18, a traffic diversion on Al Seef Road in a one-way route in the direction of Al Fahidi.
The step, which has been coordinated with the Dubai Police and consulates in the area in order to avoid negative impacts on the entry and exit points as well as associated parking slots in the area, is required to complete the remaining works of Al Seef Marina Development Project.
Maitha bin Udai, CEO of Traffic and Roads Agency, RTA, said: “RTA has got in place a comprehensive plan for the detour on Al Seef Road aimed at ensuring smooth traffic flow and safety of road users. The engineering design of the temporary detour conforms to the design of permanent roads in terms of design standards, leveling and asphalt as well as lighting matching to the design speed of the road for the safety of road users. The detour will reroute the traffic movement in one-way in the direction of Al Fahidi.”
Therefore, RTA calls on road users to abide by directional signs, drive carefully, and stick to the speed limits.
Meanwhile, RTA regrets any inconvenience that might be caused because of this detour, which will boost the efforts of realizing RTA’s vision of safe and smooth transport for all.
