Ten years jail for drug possession

The Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance has awarded two jobless Omanis MMY, 29, and MMK, 27, to ten years in jail followed by deportation for possessing drugs to sell it.

The Court also ordered each of the convicts to pay Dh100,000 fine.

They were also charged guilty of possessing drugs for personal use and MMY of taking drugs.

The two were arrested following a tip-off made to police about the accused taking drugs. Police raided the hotel in Naif area and confiscated from them 106 capsules contained 851 grammes of heroine.
