Three boys held for 14-taxi robbery spree

Sharjah Police have arrested three minors for stealing from 14 taxis after breaking open the windows in the Al Nasserya area.

A top CID official at Sharjah Police said most of the thefts were conducted during the night after the taxi drivers went to bed, Khaleej Times reported on Tuesday.

The trio, aged between 10 and 14 years, managed to steal cash, mobile phones and other personal belongings.

The police put the accommodation of the drivers in Al Nasseriya under surveillance and arrested the three boys red-handed while trying to break the window of a taxi. The boys confessed that they had stolen items from 14 taxis.
