Three Pakistanis were arrested with 4.8 kg of heroin in a joint operation in Sharjah and Dubai recently.
Following a tip off, a team from the Anti-Narcotics Department at Sharjah Police, followed one of the suspects and arrested him red-handed while selling part of the haul to a customer.
The team along with the officers from the Ministry of Interior and Dubai Police then raided the hideout of the other two suspects in Dubai and seized the haul.
A police official claimed that all three suspects confessed to the alleged offences including the smuggling of heroin into the country.
