Thursday evening: It’s raining heavily in Old Dubai

Thursday evening turned pleasant and colder for Dubai residents after it rained heavily in different parts of the emirate – particularly Bur Dubai areas.

At the time of filing this report at 7.15pm, it was raining heavily in Bur Dubai now and people were seen running for shelter. A number of people sipping coffee and smoking sheesha outside ran for shelter due to heavy rain.

The National Center of Meteorology and Seismology forecast said: "It’ll be “cloudy weather in general and the cloud amount will increase over different areas associated with some towering clouds with a chance of scatterd rain. The wind will continue to be moderate to fresh, especially over the sea. The sea will be rough in general.”

The Met office has also forecast scattered rain for tomorrow (Friday)  and Saturday in different parts of the UAE.
