Tourist with forged documents nabbed at airport
A Pakistani allegedly forged three academic certificate and UAE stamps and seals, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
According to the records, TMK, 26, visitor, had bought academic certificates of someone in Pakistan and forged stamps of the UAE Consulate in Pakistan and stamps of the UAE of Dh100 value and placed them on the back of the documents.
He is also accused of forging three academic certificates attributed to Pakistan for the intention of using them.
The prosecution asked the court to apply stiffest penalty against the accused.
The accused confessed to buying the forged certificates from a person in Pakistan against PRs 500.
The criminal Evidences reported the forgery of the consulate seal and of the financial stamps.
The records showed that TMK was arrested by the Dubai International Airport Police but did not reveal how the crime was discovered.
