A series of accidents have been reported across Dubai this morning, grinding traffic to a halt and causing jams across several highways, including Sheikh Zayed Road.

Earlier this morning, multiple accidents were reported by eyewitnesses, between Trade Centre Roundabout and Safa Park, heading into Abu Dhabi, leading to tailbacks and traffic congestion.

Dubai Police also tweeted about a similar situation on Al Khail Road, saying: “There is a traffic congestion on Al Khail Road from Nad Al Sheba Bridge to Abu Khadra Bridge due to an accident between several vehicles.”

Musafirs added: “There is standstill traffic on Al Khail towards Ras Al Khor.”

A minor accident was also reported at Jumeirah Lake Towers in the direction of Al Sahel Road, but has been cleared since, according to witnesses.

Meanwhile, everyone’s favourite Discovery Gardens reported yet another morning of congestion and traffic violations, with Twitter user S Anjum sending in a picture of cars driving on the wrong side of the road, attempting to cut in.

Sneha Asher said: “Invariably Discovery Gardens is clogged with traffic every Thursday morning.”
