Two assault senior citizen over parking spot
Two Iraqis are accused of assaulting an elderly Emirati over a parking dispute and leaving him disabled to a minor extent, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
In May 2009, at 8pm, Fares Sehta, 65, an Emirati, went to the Dragon Mall to check on the two shops he owns there.
He waited for about 15 minutes to find parking and when he did a Mercedes came in his way and according to him, tried to take the same parking spot.
After an argument, the passengers in the other car MAA, 24, student and IAS, 48, an investor, and punched the man until people came and rescued him.
Forensic reports proved the elderly man has lost a tooth and sustained 2 per cent permanent disability.
