Two Emirati sisters studying in the college of higher technology in Fujairah died after a tyre blast caused their car to crash into a mountain on Wednesday.
Police said the two women, aged 25 and 30 years, were killed instantly when their vehicle overturned and violently rammed into mountain because of high speed.
Police quoted a witness as saying he saw one of the victims was flung out of the car window and landing near a tree in the accident site between Fujairah and Masafi.
According to the Arabic language daily Emarat Alyoum, the two sisters were residents of Kalba and one of them is a mother with one baby.
