Two held in Sharjah phone call scam

Sharjah Police arrested two Asians who allegedly stole international calls and sold it to customers.

The incident came to light when the Criminal Investigation Department of Sharjah Police received a tip-off that two men were offering international phone calls to people at their place for very cheap rates.

Investigations by the security team of CID confirmed the duo were operating illegally without obtaining the required licences.

The cops raided the place in one of the industrial areas in Sharjah and arrested the two men red-handed.

The suspects confessed to the charges against them and they revealed the methods and the tools they used.

Sharjah Police urged public to report such activities to police.
