Two salon women held for practising medicine

Two Asian women working at a female salon in Abu Dhabi are on trial for illegally practising medicine and endangering the life of a customer after giving her an injection without permission, newspapers reported on Sunday.

The two confessed to injecting the woman with a substance that later caused illness, which doctors said is incurable.

The prosecutor said the two women were charged of illegally practising medicine,  injecting a customer without prior permission and endangering human life.

According to police, the two women carried out two cosmetic sessions for that customer, including enlargement of some parts of her body for Dh14,000.
