Typing fees to be unified for court cases
Unified typing fees will soon be introduced by all typing centres offering their services for judicial transactions in Dubai.
Lower fees will be charged for applications filed by workers.
Shamsuddin Albdulmen’em, Head of Litigants Guidance Section, said that this was discussed in a meeting held with typing centres aiming to facilitate to public services.
“It was agreed that all typing offices will impose unified fees. Typing offices also agreed to charge lower fees for workers. The new fees will be implemented after the guidance bulletin is updated.
The meeting also assessed the performance of typing offices in registering cases under the electronic initiative ‘Salfa’. One of the centres registered 21 cases electronically, said Shamsuddin.
He asked typing centres to take the initiative and bring their services up to expectations because during the first quarter of 2015 the courts will make it obligatory that certain types of cases be registered electronically.
Following directives of the court’s higher management, typing centres were asked to be accurate in typing lawsuits.
“Typing staff should ensure that no mistakes are made so as to avoid delays in court. Dubai Courts will not be lenient with any typing office that offers sub-standard services,” he warned.
