UAE residents can now take advantage of reduced airfares in the coming months, which mark the two important festivals of Diwali and Christmas.

Diwali, this year, falls on November 11. Many expat residents travel to their home countries during this period, followed by Christmas and the two-week-long winter break in UAE schools.

Emirates has launched its special fares to various destinations in North & South America, Europe, The Middle East, Africa and the Asia & the Pacific.

To avail of these special offers passengers need to book by November 9 for outbound travel by January 31.

flydubai is also offering savings up to 30 per cent on return fares in its economy class from Dubai to select destinations. You need to book before noon today to fly between November 3 and 29, coinciding with the Diwali festive period.

Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways has also launched its 96-hour early-bird sale, which ends today. However, these fares do not cover the festive period this year. You need to book now for travel from January 18 until June 15, 2016. This deal also lets passengers earn double miles for travel to all destinations.

Qatar Airways is also running its exclusive offers on flights from the UAE. The last date to book these special fares is until the 31st of this month. These discounted fare are for return flights including all taxes, fees and surcharges. Travel must commence between October 5, 2015 and June 15, 2016.

Traditionally, fares peak during the Christmas season up until New Year when many people travel in and out of the UAE.
