UAE, Armenia sign deal

The UAE and the Republic of Armenia signed in Yerevan on Friday an agreement for promotion and mutual protection of investments.

The agreement was signed by Younis Haji Al Khouri, Under-secretary of the UAE's Ministry of Finance and Garegin Melkonyan, Armenian Deputy Economy Minister, in presence of Artsvik Minasyan, Armenian Economy Minister and Dr. Jassem Mohammed Al Qasimi, UAE Ambassador to Yerevan.

The Armenian economy minister lauded the progress witnessed in the UAE, particularly in economic fields. He underlined the growing Emirati investments in Armenia and the marked increase in the numbers of the Emirati tourists visiting Armenia.

Khouri said the UAE was looking forward to developing its economic ties with Armenia.
