UAE delivers waste disposal trucks, containers to Aden

The Emirates Red Crescent Authority (ERC) today delivered the first consignment of waste disposal trucks and waste containers to Aden Province, in presence of its Governor, Jafar Mohammed Saad.

The consignment consists of four trucks and 150 containers which will be used in cleaning roads, neighbourhoods and public areas in the province.

It is part of a Dh4.5 million budget, allocated by the ERC, to purchase 16 trucks and 1,600 containers to collect and dispose waste in the residential areas of the province.

Other consignments will be shipped from the UAE to Aden soon.

The ERC also reported that five sewerage pumps were delivered to help maintain and upgrade the drainage system in Aden as part of an Dh6 million project.
