UAE footballer hurt in road crash

A well-known UAE football player was injured in a car accident apparently after he fell asleep while driving, the player himself has said.

Adnan Hussein, a 30-year-old player in Dubai-based Al Wasl Club, published his picture showing himself at a Dubai hospital after having the accident. Another photograph of his car showed it was badly damaged.

Hussein, who published the report on his Instagram page, did not make clear where the accident occurred but indicated he was sleepy while driving his car.

“I advise all motorists not to drive their car if they feel sleepy or too tired to drive,” he said, according to 'Emarat Al Youm' daily.
