The UAE and Oman have agreed to take all necessary steps to address problems arising from vehicles insurance in the two countries.

This came during the first meeting of the UAE-Oman joint committee, tasked with solving vehicle insurance issues facing insurance companies in the two countries, held in Muscat.

Fatima Al Awadhi, Deputy Director of the Insurance Authority, who headed the UAE side, said the meeting discussed possibility of starting the Pan-Arab unified insurance card system for UAE and Oman-registered vehicles and settling both total and third party claims among the respective insurance companies in the two countries.
