UAE probes identity of lost child

Khorfakkan authorities pursued their efforts to identify a three-year-old boy found alone in the eastern port a few days ago, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.

The town’s prosecutor ordered a sample of blood is taken from the boy and sent to the forensic laboratory in a bid to establish his identity, 'Al Ittihad' said.

“The blood sample will be compared with the existing samples in the laboratories in the city to identify the child,” the paper said.

The boy, who was found walking on Khorfakkan Corniche last week, has been taken to the child care centre in the city pending identification results.
