UAE Rain Impact: 67 accidents on Friday

The operations room of Ras Al Khaimah Police received information about 67 accidents in the emirate on Friday.

They were all minor incidents, and in most cases those involved were given first-aid before leaving the place. There were no serious injuries reported.

Brigadier Ghanem Ahmed Ghanem, Director-General of Central Operations, Ras Al Khaimah Police, confirmed that the administration is fully prepared to meet emergencies and help the public at all times. No sooner than they receive information about an incident than ambulances, patrol and rescue teams rush to the site. The Air Wing is also ready 24 hours, he added.
 
He urged motorists and residents to exercise caution and abide by traffic rules, especially during wet weather and low visibility.
 
Brigadier Ghanem requested residents to stay away from beaches and seas and avoid travelling to valleys during such days.
