The UAE was ranked number 1 destination for GCC nationals who bought the property during 2011 up by 67.5 per cent to 10,873 properties, according to the report released by the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council of Arab States.
Sultanate of Oman followed with 3,364 properties, while Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia followed in the third, fourth and fifth ranks respectively.
The report said Kuwaitis topped in a number of properties owned with 8,130, Saudis followed with 2,312, Emiratis came third with 2,267 followed by Qatar, Bahrain and Sultanate of Oman respectively.
