Humaid bin Salim, Secretary-General of the Federation of UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said the UAE was the top member of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in terms of intra-OIC trade in 2014 with $121.7 billion accounting for 15.2 per cent of the total intra-OIC trade.
Turkey came second with $77.8 billion (9.7 per cent of total intra-OIC trade) and Saudi Arabia with $74.3bn (9.3 per cent).
Salim was commenting on the federation's participation in the 15th Trade Fair of OIC Member States, held from May 22 to 26 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The UAE's pavilion included a number of national companies including Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc), Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) and others.
Some 30 OIC members are taking part in the trade fair.
