The UAE volunteer doctors of the Emirates Programme for Community and Specialised Volunteering, which was launched under the slogan, "Giving is Happiness," have succeeded in treating thousands of workers of many nationalities in the country’s various emirates, by volunteering 100,000 work hours in the clinics and hospitals of the Zayed Giving Initiative, as an exceptional example of volunteer work and humanitarian giving.

The volunteer doctors provided the best diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative services, in mobile giving clinics and a field hospital equipped with the latest modern technologies, which comply with the best international standards, as part of the One Million Volunteers Campaign and in line with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan declaring 2017 as the Year of Giving.

The doctors volunteering at the mobile clinics and the field hospitals worked within the UAE Voluntary Health Care Programme, under the supervision of the Zayed Giving Initiative, which is a joint humanitarian initiative with the Dar Al Ber Society, the Sharjah Charity House and the Saudi-German Hospitals Group, demonstrating an exceptional example of humanitarian partnership, which confirmed their sustained commitment to adopt ideas that would make the workers happy, as well as care for them and protect their rights, regardless of their colour, sex, religion and race.

Dr. Adel Al Shameri, CEO of Zayed Giving Initiative, pointed out that the UAE field hospital for workers’ care, "Enaya," represented a qualitative leap in the health services provided to workers in the different emirates of the country, and was an addition to the exceptional efforts made by the country’s public and private hospitals to deliver specialised services to the workers at their workplaces and residential communities.
