Latest: Weather on Saturday is expected to be partly cloudy at times in some areas, the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) said.
Relative humidity may increase during the night and in the morning along the coastal and inland areas with chances of fog and mist.
Minimum temperatures in mountainous areas to dip to 10°C.
The weather is expected to remain partly cloudy along some areas on Sunday, with light to moderate winds and mild sea, the NCMS added.
Temperatures to dip to 9°C
Foggy conditions and light mist will descend over parts of the UAE over the next two days, bringing about a rise in humidity levels this weekend.
However, a dip in mercury of up to three degrees celsius, would make it the ideal situation for enthusiasts looking to explore the outdoors.
The UAE’s National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has warned that temperatures could dip to single-digit, with the minimum expected to drop to 9°C in the mountains.
A spokesperson further stated: “The temperatures around Jebel Jais was 11°C earlier, but with a three degree drop in mercury, it will get colder in the mountains over the weekend.
“However, the weather will remain fine around the coastal areas and the interiors, with the temperature settling around 29°C and 32°C, respectively.”
The spokesperson continued: “A rise in humidity levels though will result in fog and light mist in the morning over the interior parts of the UAE, particularly the Liwa region, which will be higher on Saturday.”
Fresh and moderate winds will maintain calm marine conditions and the NCMS has ruled out chances of rainfall over the weekend, despite some cloud formation over the eastern parts of the country.
