UAE winter on heat delay; morning turns cool today

UAE forecasters continued to predict hot weather during the daytime today, though with temperatures becoming mild and humid at night.

However, the mornign felt cool today (Sunday) morning with a bright clear sky and a slight welcome niup in the breeze.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) forecast had no let-up in day-time temperatures with maximum temperatures as high as 39 degrees Celsius and the lows at 34 Deg C.

Light to moderate winds in general, with relative humidity increasing during the night and early morning over some coastal and inland  areas, and a chance of fog formation over some areas completed the forecast.

Sea conditions will be slight to moderate in general, with waves between 1 - 2 feet high onshore, and 2 - 4 feet high offshore, said NCMS in a statement.

The hot weather forecast is a continuation from Saturday, where maximum temperatures were as high as 37 degree Celsius, with lows of 32 deg C.

Expect light to moderate winds in general, with relative humidity increasing during night and early morning over some coastal and inland areas and a chance of mist and fog formation, the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) said.

NCMS expects the maximum relative humidity to reach 85 per cent in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain, and the minimum to range between 40 per cent, on Abu Musa, and 20 per cent, in Abu Dhabi.
