Unsafe food removed from Dubai shops

In a surprise crackdown at Jebel Ali markets on March 5, Dubai Municipality officials confiscated large quantities of unsafe food.

According to the status update on the civic body’s official Instagram account, spoiled fruits and vegetables, expired canned food and unsafe poultry were removed.

The checks were conducted by the civic body’s public health and safety department, “in cooperation with Dubai Police, Waste Management Department and Environmental Emergency Office”.
