Use credit cards to pay parking fee in capital

The Department of Transport (DoT) in Abu Dhabi has launched a service wherein motorists can pay parking fee using credit cards at all parking spaces in the capital. And there will be no extra charges deducted for using the same, the department added.

About 1,490 parking machines have been activated to provide the service, reported 'Al Khaleej' newspaper.

Explaining the procedure, DoT said users can use credit cards as they would pre-paid cards. Motorists need to insert their credit cards into the machine and select the number of hours required and collect e-tickets.

DoT confiremd that all machines would accept credit card payments.

Even Mawaqif users can avail of the service, it added.
