Vehicle on fire near Business Bay

A vehicle has caught fire near Business Bay Crossing, causing a traffic gridlock on Al Khail Road.

Dubai Police is on the scene, tweeting a warning to commuters saying: “A burning vehicle accident impedes traffic on Al Khail Road toward Business Bay Crossing and there is congestion across the street.”

Yousaf Al Abbasi also tweeted: “A car on fire at Business Bay near Jadaf, towards Rashidiya. Stay safe.”

A traffic gridlock is being reported from the second Zabeel Street exit until the crossing, heading towards Sharjah.

Commuters are requesting people to take alternative routes, even as authorities are on the scene.
