WGS: ADFD joins as strategic partner

The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) is taking part in the World Government Summit, as a strategic partner.

Director-General of ADFD, Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, will join other government officials at the summit to discuss international goals for sustainable development, coordination and combined efforts for achieving the set goals.

The other strategic partners of this year's summit are the United Nations, the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, the League of Arab States, the World Bank, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the World Economic Forum.

He said the World Government Summit, as part of its global and futuristic outreach, will discuss vital issues about the global vision for sustainable development.

The agenda of the summit will help participating governments in shaping the future as they will discuss experiences from several domains such as education, healthcare, science, innovation, technology, economy and sustainable development, Al Suwaidi added.

The summit will bring together a large number of government officials as well as academics and policymakers to discuss developments and trends.

This year's theme is 'Shaping Future Governments,' and the agenda is focused on global challenges and solutions around delivering government services.
