'WhatsApp' swearing costs man Dh20,000 Fujairah

A Fujairah court fined a man Dh20,000 after he was found guilty of swearing at another man through WhatsApp service on his mobile phone.

The man denied the charges, but evidence in the plaintiff’s phone showed the defendant’s had sent ‘insulting’ words to him, according to ‘Al Khaleej’ daily.

“The court found the defendant guilty of committing an offence against another man and fined him Dh20,000,” it said.
