These are the usual access routes into the events area. Not all roads will remain open continuously. From 8pm onwards some of the roads will be closed while others are closed in intervals.

Dubai Police will be patrolling on Sheikh Zayed Road, especially at the stretch passing Burj Khalifa. It is not allowed to stop the car on the hard shoulder to watch the spectacle, or even reduce to speed when the show is on. Dubai Police will strictly enforce the rules and fine those who violate them.

Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Boulevard and Financial Road will be closed for traffic at 8pm. One lane will remain open for emergency and police vehicles. Motorists entering these roads after 8pm will be fined.

Five dedicated parking areas have been established in the vicinity of the Downtown area; 1500 parking slots are available at the World Trade Center, 8000 slots at Meydan, 500 slots at Al Jafiliyah (Directorate of Residency & Foreigners Affairs), and 1000 slots at Zabeel Park in addition to the parking yard at the front of Al Wasl Sports Club. At these sites, visitors can park their car and hop on the bus that will connect to the events area, free of charge.

In the Downtown area, dedicated bus and taxi lanes have been formed with stops at places such as Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, Business Bay, Al Saada Road, and Al Asayel Road, in addition to the Metro stations Business Bay, Burj Khalifa –Dubai Mall and Financial Center.

Buses and taxis will be parked at these junctions. Plastic barriers will be installed to prevent pedestrians from crossing the road at certain points. Pedestrians are urged to abide by the traffic rules for their own safety.

Road signals will be installed to inform road users of temporary parking spaces and the roads that lead to these parking spaces.

Burj Khalifa-Dubai Mall Metro station will be closed from 10pm on Wednesday, until 6am on Thursday. Metro passengers can travel to Business Bay and Financial Center Metro stations, from where they can walk to the events area.

From Business Bay Metro station it is a 2300 meters walk to the events area, and from Financial Center Metro station it is a 1750 meters walk. Road signs will direct pedestrians on their journey, which follows a dedicated path with all safety measures applied.

Shuttle buses will transport people free of charge from the temporary parking spaces to the events area.

Taxis will not be permitted nearby Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall. However, taxi stops have been organised at several places in the Downtown area, and passengers are required to queue up at these dedicated places.

The fireworks can be spotted from several locations, such as Souk al Bahar, Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Boulevard, Burj Park Island, Burj Khalifa, South Ridges Building and along the dedicated viewing lane that circumvents Burj Khalifa.
