Preparing delicacies and serving dishes with utmost grace, floating around the room catering to clients, these Movenpick staff will now be seen holding mikes.
West 14th, a New York-style steak house located on Palm Jumeirah, will hold the West Factor singing competition every Monday from 8 pm to 11 pm throughout September, where the staff will showcase their talents.
Multi-faceted employees of Movenpick Hotels & Resorts’ will be auditioned and every week 10 qualifying performers will sing at the West Factor.
Kevin Graham, manager of West 14th explains, “We established quite quickly how talented our Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts employees are and wanted to give them an opportunity to showcase their skills. We also know how passionate they are about singing. This initiative is designed to give our team a creative outlet and is important to the organization to reward and recognize our staff beyond their day jobs.”
However, this is not the first for most of the singers as they have performed solo or been a part of bands previously.
Final round will be held on October 1st where the winner will be chosen based on public voting. The champion will receive a paid contract to perform at West 14th.
