The Dubai criminal court heard a case where a Tunisian is accused of attempting to use his wife’s passport to get a birth certificate issued for a baby he had with another woman.

According to the charges, IMF, 39, an assistant administrator had a relationship with JAB, 40, a Tunisian man, that resulted in pregnancy and the baby was born in Al Wasl Hospital On November 14, 2004.

JAB submitted to the hospital a passport photocopy of his real wife, claiming that the woman who had the baby was the one in the passport.

A birth certificate was issued after which JAB went to the Tunisian consulate where he revealed the truth and asked for the baby girl to be registered as a child from his legitimate wife, who is in Tunisia.

The consulate notified the police.

The two are now accused of forging official documents, an application for a birth certificate and using the document by submitting it to the hospital’s administration and the Tunisian Consulate.

A forensic report proved that the finger print of the baby’s mother matched the one in the hospital file.
