Winter sets in the UAE as days get cooler.

A NCMS report for Tuesday forecasts rather cold weather during the daytime and cloudy skies at times over the coasts and islands.

The minimum temperature in mountainous areas is expected to dip to 8 degree centigrade with 11degree C expected in internal areas.

The maximum temperatures in coastal and internal areas will be around 26 degree C and 19 degree C in mountainous regions.

Meanwhile, fresh northwesterly winds may blow up sand resulting in poor visibility in some areas.

Relative humidity is likely to increase over the internal areas during night.

The sea will be very rough and beach goers are advised to exercise caution.

Warning about rough seas

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) on Tuesday reiterated previous warnings to mariners in the Arabian Gulf due to the current high seas.

The centre stated that the waves currently range between six and eight feet in the Arabian Gulf, with north-westerly winds of 52km per hour.
