Dubai Police solved the mystery behind the death of an Asian woman after she fell from a building in International City, said  Gen. Khalil Ibrahim Al-Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for criminal investigation, reported Al Bayan newspaper.

Gen. Al Mansouri said that the crime scene investogators of the General Department of Criminal Evidence and Criminology concluded that the case was linked to human trafficking and the victim was forced into prostitution.

He added that the watchman of the building and another accused were involved.

Gen. Al Mansouri pointed out that the investigators reviewed the ground where the victim had fallen and they found evidence that the victim had been trying to escape when she fell to her death.

The woman climbed over a make-shift rope made from pieces of clothes and neckties, but the rope was not strong enough and she most likely fell through and died on the spot.

The watchman admitted that he and a friend had paid Dh8,000 for the girl in order to exploited her sexually.

Following the investigation, the building's guard was arrested while the other accused is missing.
