A 22-year-old national woman was found hanging at her home in Ras Al Khaimah.
Colonel Salim Yusuf Zaabi said a police team along with forensic experts rushed to the site upon receiving information about a ‘suicide’ case.
The girl was found hanging by a piece of cloth from a ceiling fan.
Initial investigations reveal that family circumstances forced the girl to take the extreme step.
Police denied any criminal intentions behind the death and the file has been forwarded to competent authorities.
Colonel Zaabi said suicide was against Islam faith and urged citizens not to resort to such steps and that any problem in life can be sorted out. Suicide is a form of escapism, he added.
