Woman held for presenting forged passport copy

The Dubai Criminal Court heard a case of a Filipina who allegedly presented a forged photocopy of her passport when inspected by the police.

Corporal Suhaila Matar testified that on July 16 while was on duty at around 8pm at Khalid bin Al Walid metro station, her colleague Nasser Abdullah suspected the pedestrian.

She and her colleague approached the woman and asked for her identity card. She presented a forged passport photocopy.

On questioning, she confessed to the forgery that she had placed her picture instead of its original holder.

AJM, 30, jobless, was taken to Al Rifaa Police Station on forgery charges.

She admitted to the accusation and the court adjourned the case for verdict till October 18.
