Saudi Arabia will have its first women-only laundry when a project funded by local women is created in the eastern province, a newspaper in the Gulf Kingdom said on Tuesday.
Aisha Al Zahrani said she had agreed with other women to set up the laundry in the eastern town of Dammam to be operated and managed only by women, Alriyadh reported.
“The aim of this project is to ensure women’s clothes washed, cleaned and ironed by women’s hands before they are delivered to their owners at home,” she told the paper.
“We will also introduce a service to dye some women’s clothes and clean wedding dresses in a safe way…our aim is to have Saudi Arabia’s first women-only laundry.”
