Worker crushed by crane at Kalba port

An expatriate worker was crushed to death when he was run over by a heavy crane at Kalba port during the night, a newspaper said on Tuesday.

Port police rushed to the scene and found the man lying motionless after he was knocked over by the crane, the Arabic language daily ‘Al Ittihad’ said.

It said the crane driver confessed to police that he was driving the crane when the worker was hit but that he could not see him because of darkness.
