World's richest photography prize of $389,000 in Dubai: Which pictures will win?
Photographers from around the world with their breathtaking pictures are vying for the prestigious Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award.
The award highlights how Dubai is fast developing into one of the most artistically conscious and established cities in the world.
The award enters its third season with four categories, which transgress time and reflect daily life exploring the secrets of the relationship between the art form of photography and what makes man tick.
The main category entitled ‘Creating the Future’ appeals to the limits of the imagination and beckons immense creativity. It gives the opportunity to explore the impossible and think completely out of the box.
The ‘Street Life’ category beckons the lens to capture the heart of the community and share a million stories which reflect civilization and the many colors of life.
The magic of ‘Black and White’ continues to prevail as it conveys intense beauty through its uniqueness and timeless elegance.
Apart from these categories, the ‘Photography Appreciation Award’ is a special category for a person or group who has shown long-standing commitment to enhancing the art of photography.
Similarly, The Hamdan International Photography Award also aims to enhance the ever-developing research field within photography by introducing the ‘Photographic Research/Report Award’.
Submission which opened on March 21, 2013 will close on December 31, 2013.
