World Turtle Day: endangered Hawksbills released at Saadiyat Beach

Tourism Development and Investment Company, TDIC, the master developer of tourism, cultural and residential destinations in Abu Dhabi, has released a dozen rehabilitated Hawksbill turtles back to the sea to mark World Turtle Day, which is marked on May 23.

The released turtles were rehabilitated at a special centre on Sir Bani Yas Island.

The event took place at Saadiyat Beach Club, where representatives from TDIC’s environment team released the turtles in the presence of delegates from the Environment Agency, Abu Dhabi and more than 50 students and teachers.
